Insure your PDA, BlackBerry or Smartphone against theft, loss or accidental damage. PowerupMobile.com offer an insurance service that covers your devices up to a value of £1000. You can insure your device at anytime, it does not need to be new or even bought from us. There are two ways to purchase insurance based on whether you already have a device or if you are buying a new device from us.

Buying a New Device
PowerupMobile.com as of 17th March 2007 offer 3 Month Free Insurance on all contract and SIM free mobile phones, PDA's, Blackberry and smartphones. You can cancel the insurace at any time by contacting the administrators or opt out at checkout if you desire. If you do not opt out we will automatically add insurance to your order, you do not need to do anything else.

Please note: If you do not provide us with Direct Debit bank account details at checkout time we will be unable to set up insurance for you. Your phone will not be insured.

Already own a Device
If you already own a device you can order insurance by choosing the appropriate policy and adding it to your cart. Then just checkout as normal and we will set it up for you within 24 hours (except weekends and public holidays).

There is no 12 month contract tie in and for less than 20p per day can you afford not to insure such a high value item such as a PDA or smartphone.

Devices are covered on all networks - 3, T-Mobile, O2, Orange and Vodafone as well as all sim free devices bought without a contract. Even though a phone may be offered free with a contract the actual replacement value may be up to £1000.

We offer two insurance Premiums:

Standard Policy

• For Devices under £400
• Cover up to £400
• Only 19 pence per day
• £5.88 per month

Executive Policy

• For Devices over £400
• Covers phones and devices up to £1,000
• Only 26 pence per day
• £7.99 per month

Our phone insurance is provided by 2U Phone Insurance which is underwritten by Equity Red Star. 2U's parent company Mobile Phone World Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. FSA Firm Reference no. 314346

WHY DO I NEED INSURANCE?

The free phone you receive when you sign a twelve month contract with your service provider can cost up to £1000 to replace if you lose or damage it. This is because the network discounts the phone because you are promising them 12 to 18 months of your business.

* This Executive policy covers any phone up to the retail value of £1000. The Standard policy covers any phone up to the retail value of £400. Any excess over this will need to be covered by the customer. The phone must be less than 6 months old, with valid UK proof of purchase (not from online auctions), when the policy is started. Customers with phones older than 2 months at point of ordering cannot claim for the first 28 days.
