With the growth and popularity of rugged mobile phones, tough phones and ruggedised PDA's we have set up a dedicated Rugged Mobiles category where you can compare the latest contract mobile deals and sim free prices.

Rugged mobiles or tough phones first became popular with the launch of the Sonim XP1 or JCB Tough Phone as it was called in the UK and now Sonim have launched the Sonim XP3 Enduro or Land Rover S1 as it has now be named.

Samsung have also come out with a couple of tough phones, the latest of which is the Samsung Solid Extreme.

Rugged mobiles and tough phones are built to withstand more extreme outdoor or industrial conditions than your standard mobile and are general water, dust, scratch, temperature, shock and vibration resistant.

Keep an eye out on the category for new devices and more focus on PDA's for industrial applications too, coming soon.
