HP Announce 3 new Palm webOS Devices

I have always liked Palm, they have been involved in hand held mobile devices since 1996 and have possibly the sexiest platform going, webOS and the pebble like design of their latest phones are slick and stand out from the crowd.

Heaven knows why Palm devices haven't caught on but now they are owned by HP, the roll-out of devices has increased and hopefully with more marketing muscle and distribution the company can make new ground - but then again for me, a device loses a lot of its allure once they are the in thing and overly popular.

In an attempt to gain ground on Apple and Google HP have launched three new devices to cater for all segments of the smartphone market including a tablet device. These include the compact HP Veer, the follow up to the Palm Pre 2 - the HP Pre 3 and the aforementioned HP TouchPad.

If you have two hours you can watch the HP webOS Think Beyond Event - its a little slow with a bit too much corporate spokesman hoo-haa going on but if you fast forward through you can see some nice demos of the new hardware.
