T-Mobile appear to have pulled off what O2 achieved with the Apple iPhone and for at least a limited period will be the first and only network offering the new 'Google Phone' - the T-Mobile G1.

Manufactured by HTC, the world leaders in Windows Mobile smartphone and PDA devices, the T-Mobile G1 will be the first phone powered by the Google sponsored Android mobile phone platform - a new open architecture operating system developed by a consortium of 30 technology companies including Google, T-Mobile and HTC called the Open Handset Alliance.

The T-Mobile G1 is launching in the US in less than 2 days on the 22nd of October withe the UK release date expected to be early November.
