HTC Touch Diamond 2 and HTC Touch Pro 2 Announced

HTC have announced the imminent release of two new flag ship PDA's - the HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Diamond2) and HTC Touch Pro 2 (Pro2). Prices are yet to be confirmed and we will compare HTC Touch Diamond2 prices and of course compare HTC Touch Pro2 prices as soon as retailers have stock of them sim free or on contract. The due date for the new PDA's is early Q2 2009 and early summer 2009.

We have limited information on the HTC Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2 at present but they do include an improved TouchFlo 3D interface with tighter integration with the underlying Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. HTC have also introduced a new technology called HTC Push Internet which makes downloading and rendering of web pages faster and there is a new touch screen zoom bar that lets you easily zoom in on web pages, emails, photos and documents.

HTC Touch Diamond2
We do know that the HTC Touch Diamond2 is only 13.7mm thick, incorporates a 3.2" high resolution wide screen VGA display, 5 mega pixel camera, improved battery life, expandable memory, ambient light and gravity sensors.

HTC Touch Pro2
The HTC Touch Pro2 is designed for business users and includes an improved, more finger friendly slide out QWERTY keyboard and 3.6" tilting display, improved battery life, expandable memory via MicroSD cards plus ambient light, proximity and gravity sensors. Unique to the HTC Tocuh Pro 2 is HTC Straight Talk - improved integration between email, voice and conference calls and improved conference speaker and accoustics system.
