After a long delay Palm have released the Palm Pre, the first phone to feature the new Palm webOS™ operating system.

The Palm Pre represents a new direction for Palm with the introduction of new styling and a new operating system; webOS™. The new Palm Pre looks particularly slick with its curved edges and smooth pebble like appearance.

The Palm Pre is the first Palm device to feature a full touch-screen interface breaking tradition from their previous QWERTY keyboard style design. A handy QWERTY keyboard is integrated into the back of the phone which slides out when needed.

The graphics on the new interface are equally slick and the webOS™system uses a card like approach to flick between applications, several of which can be opened at one time.

The built in applications are designed to make your life as easy as possible such as Palm Synergy which brings together your Outlook, Facebook and Google contacts and Calendars in to a single interface. Messaging, IM and email are all taken care of including Microsoft Outlook integration and multimedia applications are available for music, photos and video.

GPS is built in and the phone has Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G connectivity for high speed internet access anywhere. There is a 3 megapixel camera and there is 8GB of built in memory and the device can be connetected to a PC via USB for syncing purposes.
