The Sony Ericsson Satio (Black) - originally called the Idou is one of the first batch of 12 mega-pixel camera phones on the market. It is also rumoured it can play PlayStation games (TBC).

The Sony Ericsson Satio (Black), which was originally launched in Barcelona as the Sony Ericsson Idou, is a high end multimedia device running on the Symbian S60 platform giving it additional smartphone powers.

The Sony Ericsson Satio is one of the first in the next generation of mobile phones to incorporate a 12 mega-pixel camera. The camera also comes with a Xenon flash and advanced auto-focus features plus several functions such as smile shot and red-eye reduction to improve your shots. It also shoots video.

This is a touch-screen device with a large 3.5", 16:9, 640 x 360 resolution screen and its accelerometer allows for screen auto rotation and gesture control. The Sony Ericsson Satio takes care of the internet and email with its fast HSDPA (3.5G) connection or WiFi and includes the WebKit web browser and support for Exchange ActiveSync.

A music and video player is also available plus social networking apps such as a Facebook and YouTube application as well as office and organiser tools. The Sony Ericsson Satio also includes A-GPS for turn-by-turn navigation and Goolge Maps.

Another draw feature of the Sony Ericsson Satio which isn't 100% clear yet is its ability to play PlayStation games. This has been widely reported online but it is not confirmed which model of PlayStation, whether it is be PS1, PS2, PS3 or PSP or some kind of modified mobile phone version.
