This version of the Mio A701 features UK maps pre-loaded with Western European maps on CD. The new Mio A701 PDA Phone is powered by a 520MHz Intel XScale PXA270 processor and has 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. It features a 2.7-inch full-color QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) TFT screen, SDIO expansion slot, and a built-in 1.3-megapixel digital camera. The bundled Mio Map navigation software gives you door-to-door navigation across borders, point of interest (POI) uploads and compatibility with the Traffic Message Channel (TMC) service (not in UK). The Mio A701 incorporates a SirFStar III GPS receiver, mobile phone and PDA functions into one compact, distinctive product. With the SirfStar III chipset incorporated the Mio A701 is capable of quick, reliable satellite fixes. Tri-Band GSM/GPRS phone functionality ensures that the A701 can be used in most countries and for internet and e-mail access. Windows Mobile 5 has been supplied and this provides new features including persistent memory and the latest office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Media Player 10.
